stevens/savage 350 ,quality?

I've had good experiences with mine. Mind you, I don't shoot it that much. I've maybe put 200 rounds through it since I bought it, mostly 2-3/4 target loads. Never had any issues. It ejects very consistently, as in it will group all the spent shells in a very small area even. Trigger is heavy, along with the safety. Some day I might tear it down and give it a trigger job.

Would I buy another one? Hmm. Hard to beat for the price, so, if I just wanted a basic pump I certainly would. If I wanted something to screw around with a bit more, I'd buy an 870 or a Norinco clone.

Also, anyone that is annoyed with theirs and wants to sell me the security barrel for cheap... Let me know.

Make sure you inspect the one you get. I bought one used and the front sight is indexed to the right far enough that I cannot zero it with slugs at 50 yds. Even with the rear sight at full right adjustment mine still puts slugs about 3" left of POA at 50yds. It also shoots high at 50yds with slugs and the rear sight all the way down, but I think it would be close to dead on elevation-wise at 100yds. The front sight doesn't look like it is off much at all, but it certainly shoots like it is.

I haven't shot it that much, but it has been reliable aside from a few stuck hulls on the first box of low brass light field loads. Never any issues after that or with high brass loads. As noted, the trigger pull is very heavy, but I haven't bothered stripping it right down to work on yet. It is a solid feeling gun with the steel receiver and I like the bottom eject. If I could get mine zeroed properly I would be completely satisfied with it.
