I got this from the Stevens 200 in 300WM (at 100 yds)

-AOL:3.350
-WW Brass
-CCI 250M primer
-72.5 grain of H4350
-Hornady 155gr A-MAX

Group of 3 0.402



This is from Savage 10FP .223Rem

-WW Brass
-CCI 400 primer
-25 grain of H335
-Nosler Balistic 55gr

Group of 5 0.371

If you really want to impress us show us (5) similar groups of the same load on target. One-time internet groups are pure fluff.

LMOA. Listin' here dipstick...I have/do own(ed) several Savages. I made no comment at all with regards to the brand of rifle the poster had. You're just ASSUMING I was.

One-time small groups are great to clip out and put in your wallet to impress your buddies. That's why I suggested multiple groupings - if anything to verify his rifles will shoot those loads CONSISTENTLY. If he hasn't shot them for CONSISTENCY and over a variety of temperature/humidity conditions then he's simply had fun plinking. No more, no less.

I hold no malice or ill-will towrds anyone here. Great group of guys overall. That doesn't have anything to do with being realistic though does it?

I don't see him claiming anything more or less, just posting some good groups. So is it then the FUN plinking part that you take issue with ?

no ill-will ? Not from what I have read where you jump all over posts with all the "negative nellie" replies, on this thread and many, many others ? Getting old....

I am not trying to impress , just show small savage groups .

Same day .223rem off bi-pod and rear sand bag.

If you're too naive to "get it" that's not my problem.
 
That's a good combo you have working for you there. I'd follow it to a T for a starting point, but I hadn't planned to shoot 155gr through my 300WM, more like 180's. Is that your whitetail load? I have no idea what a Hornady A-max is made for. Edit: ok, looked it up. Sounds like its a target projectile.

Its a plinking load A-max target. I do not hunt.Im just starting with the 300WM and i am verry pleased..it does kick like hell ...almost too much for me.
