A chunk of aluminum angle iron could be a good idea. Ive read a few posts on people doing something like this. thanks

If you want to fix the stock and strengthen it....take a piece of 1/4 square rod,groove out the baffles in the forend. Bed this below the barrel channel for as long as you can. You wont twist the stock at all after,it will add a little bit of weight but costs next to nothing. I had a thread about this a few years back and the folks who tried it were amazed at how good it worked..
