Steyr AUG Z STRAIGHT PULL

Even if it wasn't prohibited, we're talking 1700 CAD before imports and all that.

Until we get the laws sorted out, you'll have to settle for a Tavor, FS2000 and/or RFB...

It might change things, but you'd have to fight it in court. The RCMP would class it as a variant just on looks.

Tavor is a much more advanced in architecture than the AUG. AUG has its days but they are the last generation of 5.56 along with FNC, FAMAS and SA80. It is heavier and more complicated than it needs to be.

The same kind of stuff can be said about the majority of firearms owned on this site :p Regardless, I still want one.

id like one as well. always wanted one. but they are bloody heavy and the trigger is awful.

i enjoy my tavor though, and wish i didn't need a new car so i could save for a RFB.

I don't think the Tavor, FS2000, and the RFB fall under the " settle " category..

If a man really has his heart set on something, everything else is "settle".

The quality of each is immaterial at this point.

Also, I completely forgot about the Type 88's being brought in.

I'm assuming this is some sort of British Rifle with this "Straight Pull" nonsense. Having to #### it every time essentially making it a bolt action rifle?

I could only Imagine a "Straight Pull" AR-15. I think I would tear my hair out (what's left of it) after the 4th round...

Thanks but no thanks. It would be nice to have an AUG but not one Castrated to that mode of operation.

But it's soooo ###y. I agree with the trigger pull comments. That takes some getting used too.

Trigger is not as bad as you think. I was issued one for about 6 years, the trigger surface is very large and you get lots of contact on it. The trigger has some creep but feels lighter than it weighs out as you get more flesh contact on it while pulling. I still managed some good groups with it. I admit AUG triggers are not great, but not as bad as some make them out to be.
