I just want to know if anyone has experience with this pistol good or bad. Just bought one and have conflicting info as to reliability etc. Any info would be helpful.
Thanks,
Garry

The GB is really a neat, if overly complicated, design. There are only two kinds of recoil-reducing gas systems in handguns. The HK P-7 is the best of its type, and the Steyr GB is the only one I know of, of the other type. I've found it reliable and even fun to shoot. They're quite rare now -- you've got yourself a prize. And I agree: stay away from the Rogak.

Got three of them. The good: Have never ever gotten one to jam or hiccup. NEVER.
The bad: spare mags are non-existant. Hence why I have three GB's. The ugly: use cast lead bullets and the gun will explode. Its got gas ports and lead will plug them up.

The one of mine with the factory compensator has a 2.9lb single action trigger. The others have a 5lb single action trigger. The factory comped one has 60k plus rounds through it, still runs like a champ and makes little groups at long ranges. Never had anything break on the GB's. They are a fantastic gun and I wish Steyr still made them, or even just made spare mags.

The GB is the most simplistic pistol out there... 34 less parts than a Beretta 92. Not sure how you are defining it as an overly complicated design?
