Steyr L9 or M9 vs Strike One pistol

Hey guys,

Im looking for a new polymer pistol thats easy to shoot with great ergos.
I have a glock that i like but it doesn't fit my hand the best. Ive shot and m&p, xd and berreta
I dont like either of those (im picky). But ive tried and love the m9 and only heard of the strike one.
Can anyone that has shot or own these two pistols put their 2 cents in?

I've never seen or tried either.What if you ever need parts? A lot to be said for common, but it's always cool when someone shows up with something unusual!
 
Out of the 3 you named, I'd deffinately go with the Strike one.
Innovative design, over 150 suggestions from early adopters were looked after in the new models , built in extended mag well, super low bore axis and so on..
Almost too good to be true :) but it is ..
Another win for Arsenal Firearms.
 
Any gun is easy to shoot if you have the fundamentals. The steyr is a very rare pistol that would be super difficult to support
 
A lot of the Steyr Ms that came to canada were lemons, but they can be made to work. O'Dell engineering and North Sylva are both warranty centers that will get you replacement extractor assemblies free of charge, and can also provide othe replacement parts. O'Dell responded to my requests very quickly.
BTGuideRods makes a number of inexpensive upgrade parts for the M series, including a bushing that improves the already good trigger considerably.

The problem with support for the Steyr M was it's custom Canadian 106mm barrel. A very limited run and lack of advertising on an already unknown pistol meant it didn't sell well, so why support it? The L model coming in now will do a lot better, I think. Lots of parts commonality, so I wouldn't be too worried about that.
 
Interesting - I wonder if the Strike 1 is made by Caracal?

I love my M9, my accuracy with it is terrible, perhaps the L may be better with the longer barrel.

Is North Sylva bringing the L and Strike 1's in?
