Steyr m40-a1 stainless slide??

Hi folks, newbie here......

I am wondering if anyone would be kind enough to tell me if a stainless slide is available for this model? Or, if the existing slide is able to be polished? I have a rather "out there" idea to add a Viridian X5L laser site in a stainless finish to one of these and I think it would be set off well against the black polymer frame and a stainless slide. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.......

Hard chromed or nickel plated in satin or what have you.
The only people in canada that i have heard of Hard chroming are Dark international.

Thanks for the response. The nickel sounds like a great idea. I was a hunter for many years, and have been out for some years now. So this will be my first time 'round with pistols. I think I have spent more time studying various manufacturers' models the past few months than the time I spent "actually" studying in college..lol! I am excited to get out to the range for the first time and see how these guys handle as opposed to the long guns.
