Hi guys, I'm not too familiar with these rifles but what would this one be worth?

It's a mint, unfired 1970 model Steyr Mannlicher S in 308 Norma Magnum with a Mannlicher 3-9x scope w/German reticle from the same year. Thanks!

Is it a 'Luxus' model 'S' or a regular model 'S'? What kind of scope mounts are on it? Does the scope have 'Japan' marked on it?

I wasnt aware Steyr ever factory chambered for.308 Norma ...does it appear to be a factory barrel with a factory calibre stamp? How many magazines with the rifle? Are they marked .308Norma?

They were chambered in .308 Norma Mag. For the OP - regular model has plastic, rotary magazine and Luxus model has steel 3 shot vertical stack magazine and says Luxus on the left side of the receiver. Regular model usually has double set trigger and Luxus has single set trigger.

the magazine is a better option to check for a luxus. we had a left handed luxus with double set trigger ... i never like that set and the rifle didnt stay.

was used a little for Chamois hunting.

I think all NA spec Luxus have single set trigger. Much prefer the Luxus magazine and stock shape.

There is no comparison between the Luxus and the one with the plastic bottom metal (plastic). The luxus is absolutely beautiful, and I wouldn't own another one with the plastic.

1899, how about some full shots of the luxus so we (I) can admire it.

Nobody has given you a price. Tough call as it is new, and unless for collector interest the scope is not worth much, imo. There was one on here a few months ago and the price was very high at something like $2500, but who the heck knows, maybe a collector will want it. For me it would have to be in the $1250-$1500 range to be even remotely interested in it. I would use it and they do have a serious design flaw - the wood by the magazine is very thin and prone to cracking. I can't remember if all of them have plastic trigger guards, but the ones that do are prone to cracking if the bottom screws are over-tightened.

all the rifles with the 'rotary' plastic magazines have the plastic trigger guard unit...they crack in various places and this may be caused or exacerbated by solvents attacking the plastic. In addition to the area around the screw holes cracking...the small 'cutouts' on both sides of the bottom housing that accept the magazine locking clips break away. Also magazines can break or wear to the point where they are non-functional. The US steyr dealer has a web site showing what 'they' have available and they list the floor assy and magazines ... however non for the 'S' model are listed as available...BUT that doesnt mean they arent available from Europe. I recently enquired about simiar parts and have heard nothing back. These are excellent rifles and in like new/new condition I would expect the rifle to perform well. And you may never need to replace anything. So the relevance of this is a coin toss. As for the thin wooden area on the stock...could be an issue..but I havent experienced it. I think its worth $1500 to guy who wants a strong 30 calibre..and the rings are a bonus. Not sure about the scope..i am pretty certain they are Japanese scope and probably pretty good quality.

I've seen two cracked stocks out of the 5 that I have handled and/or shot - 5.6x57, 6.5x68, .270 Win, .300 H&H and .300 WM.

Edit - out of 6 - .264 WM.

I have 2 S Model Steyr's (7 Rem Mag and 257 Wtby). I was able to get parts for these from a member here (Phil Odell). In good shape, $1300-$1500 is market. Add a good quality set of bases and rings and expect a couple hundred more.
I also have a Luxus full stock.
