Steyr Model m

I have a steyr model m 30-06 , with the quick detatch mounts on it that are made by steyr. I am looking for a set of scope mounts with 30 mm rings to fit this rifle. Anyone know where to look for these , it would be much apreceated.

NECG would probably be able to help. You could also try ebay. As you know they are hard to find - EAW does make a quick detach mount for your rifle, but it will set you back +$400. The other option is Warne, but I believe they only make fixed mounts. One other option may be Ralph Martini.

I have an L and an SL that utilize the QD Steyr rings. I have not seen any QD Steyr 30mm rings. Leupold lists QD (60656) bases for the SBS and Classic. Whether these will fit the Model M is a mystery.

Reckagnel would be a place to start, they are carried by high end shops,don't know if anyone handles them hear, but Clay at Prophet River could export some from the US, or maybe you can buy direct out of Germany? Good Luck, Dale Z!
