So I'm still researching the legal aspects of crossing borders with them, but I'm between these two psitols. + or - of each?

I want something to shoot indoors, outdoors, wherever. I want a quality build, nice trigger, adjustable, and I may eventually want to compete or at least try. I have a coworker that competes and recommend either or. Before I dump big $$$ on one or the other I thought I would run it by the Nutz Gallery.

Steyr LP50 vs Walther LP300.

I prefer the solid barrel look of the Steyr, but only if it is a tie breaker after quality and accuracy.

Thoughts?
 
WoW!I'd have a big problem choosing between the two myself!Ether would be a fantastic pistol to shoot.I guess it would boil down to the best fit for you.Any way you slice it,top quality both ways.

The Steyr LP 50 is a repeater; the LP 10 is the single shot pistol. The Steyr is the more popular (at the World level at the moment), and it has been around a little longer than the Walther. Both are good, but if I were going to buy a new one, and thise were my choices, I'd get a Steyr. These days I shoot a Matchguns MG-1. It performs as well as either of the two you listed. Also, Morini, Tesro, Hammerli, and Feinwerkbau also make world class air guns. Any of them would be excellent choices.
 
Performance is going to be similar between them. It will come down to personal preference because of slight differences in ergonomics etc, and the way you might be able to shoot one better than the other.

For example, as much as I like a S&W 41, there are other guns I shoot much better.
 
Alright, so now that I've waited too long for DAK sports....any other Steyr dealers in Canada? preferable western, preferably Alberta?

I'm in teh US right now too, so Pilkguns is an option as well, but I prefer to buy canadian if I can.
 
BTT (Is that legal here?? ;) )

Still can't get a hold of anyone except Pilkguns in the US.

Is there anyone local that sells these???
