These were a great value when you consider all the extras over a regular scout rifle, 2 x 10 round mags, sights, stainless barrel, full rail etc.
plus the fact that they only sold 12 of them, they could of sold for $3k+
The price was awesome, just north of 2300.00 all in for it was a steal... JP.
yes sir, cannot complain. Have you but a brake on yours?
For those interested in a brake for their rifle, response from Steyr.
Dear Sir,
thank you very much for your email and for being a STEYR MANNLICHER customer.
The threading on the barrel is a ½“-20 UNF
Yes, we do have muzzle brakes, but they have an 18x1 threading. The good news is, that there
is an adapter available as well….from ½” to M18x1

Every time I see this thread I'm disappointed I didn't grab one.
I couldn't get over the red inlays... I know they are replaceable, but probably hard to get and also not cheap.
Such a small detail for such an outstanding rifle... JP.![]()
I've owned a Steyr Scout in the past, and they are great rifles...I guess the scout thing wasn't for me or I'd have grabbed one. Did you ever look into cost and availability of those inserts?
