Steyr ...what's it worth?

I found out a little more and got some more pictures. There is some surface rust on the barrel action and trigger even so I think I won't be taking the gun. At least the guy was honest enough to send me the pictures.

Thats a shame ... there is an odd looking "scar" on the butt. Look again though before you completely eliminate it. If you could get it back into "good" condition it would still easily be a great swap for a T/C Encore. The shape of the bore would be the final deciding factor imo -- if it was rusty as well and pitted - pass ... shiny, sharp and in good shape ... well .... still worth considering .... And like I said I am an Encore fan!

And as a parts gun for someone with a decent glass stock ...
 
A few years ago, I had a unfired steyr mannlicher with full length stock in 308 - it was perfect in every way. I listed it at $1500 and it sat and sat and sat. Nowadays I personally wouldn't touch one if it wasn't the luxus model with steel bottom metal. Damn near every one I have looked at has cracked bottom plastic.
