I ordered some 1911 parts from them about a year and a half ago and asked to be put on the waiting list for one of these with a few spare mags at the time. In February of this year I noticed in this thread they had received some on a few deliveries and sold them but I didn't get a call. I could've called them to see what's going on but Blue LIne announced the availability of the GSG 1911 so I called them instead and ordered a GSG 1911. Not a big deal, we all get busy from time to time but based on my experience I don't think I'd be putting my name on any of their "waiting lists" again. FWIW, I wouldn't hesitate to do business with them on any item they have in stock.....
Sorry. I'll be the first to admit that waiting lists and backorders; I haven't done well.
I've been trying to fix that recently and I've implemented a better system - hopefully this will be fixed up.

After a couple of PM's back and forth FV has assured me I am 'on the list' to get a .22 conv. kit ASAP! SWEET:D I really appreciate a online retailer going above and beyond to make a customer happy.

Canuck 223 had it right.

Thanks a bunch FV!

Cheers!

Bad news,

Last week, STI announced in the latest Skinnergram that they are discontinuing the top ends.

http://www.stiguns.com/SGrams/SGRAM-122.html

"Backlog too big, partner too slow."

They are looking at another partner, but the price will be more and the top end won't look the same. Apparently, the quality will be better (dunno how you improve on the existing ones) and delivery will be improved. Thye haven't said when they will be gin with them.

Some might still trickle in, but I doubt enough to satisfy the backorder.

Well, isn't that a surprise!

OK, here's the latest update -

STI discontinued the original 22 kits. Primary reason was they couldn't get them as fast as they wanted them.

STI has made a new deal with a new supplier and a better 22 top end will be out soon, but it's more expensive.

I figured I wasn't going to see any 22 kits until next year, and they would be the new ones.

To my surprise, STI just shipped me a bunch more of the original conversion kits that everyone seemed to like - so I have them now.

I doubt they will last long - $507 SRP for the 1911 kit with one mag. $540 for the 2011 Kit.
