I am having trouble with 1 of my 126mm STI magazines. It appears to be every so slightly too wide and every once in a while the bottom 2 rounds will get jammed in the magazine. Has anyone had this issue and solved it by "gently" making it narrower? I compared the width of the magazine with the other 3 I have with my calipers. The other 3 measure. 0937 and the magazine in question measures . 0942. Devon at Freedom Ventures was great and sent out a new one for me but it too measures .0942 so I suspect it will also give me trouble. It seams simpler if I could easily modify them to the correct width.

Thanks

Had the same issue with one of my magazine. Contact the dealer you bought it from and he will take care of it (they will send it to freedom venture) mine got replaced under warranty. If the dealer is not welling to work with you then call Daven at freedom venture, he is a top notch when it comes of service.

Devon has been great. As I mentioned though, the new one he just sent me is the same width as the one I was having trouble with so I was just hoping to avoid shipping mags back and forth if there was an easy fix.

Thanks. I sent it back to Freedom Ventures. If the problem persists with the other mags in the further, I might just give them the vice. I hesitated to do so because they are only a month old and I didn't want to void the warranty if that didn't fix the problem. Thanks for the replies.

I'm not sure if my problem is related to the original post. I bought 4 of the new version STI mags for my .40. Edge. All af the mags would not feed the last round in the mag. To make a long story short, I determined the notch in the follower is not cut low enough. It is much higher than my older mags. This resulted in the notch contacting the slide stop too early. The fromt of the follower would dive down insteat of feeding the rounds into the chamber. I also noticed the slide stop was engaging the notch in the slide kind of locking it open with one round left in the mag.

Devon was awesome in contacting STI to try and trouble shoot the problem. He sent 4 new followers. The notch was deeper but not deep enough. I ground the notch in the follower a little lower and now success. Not 100 % yet but close. Another touch up on the notch will be 100% functioning. I can post pictures if anyone has a similar problem. I just cant figure out why STI has not figured this out. Working the slide by hand does not see this problem as much as actual firing. The old mags function 100%. They have a much lower notch in the follower.
