Yes. Some dealers have placed final orders for some of STI's last 1911s - as did we, but after they're gone - it will all be 2011s and the DVC Classics.I heard a rumor STI is discontinuing all 1911s except for the DVC classic, is this true?

In order to help you clear inventory of these undesirable discontinued products, I'll buy a sentinel from you for $1000.

The single-stack 1911 market is flooded. Everybody makes them.
Meanwhile; There's very few double-stack 2011 guns on the market.
I must admit I'm looking forward to seeing the new Remington 2011 line-up that's coming soon.

" And, BTW: the pictured Rem is actually a double stack model, thus not a 1911... "
It's not if it uses up, but when,
I understand STI are really good firearms, previously owned a few trojans, a ranger ll, an Edge...
Currently own a trojan.
At 15K rounds per year,in 5 or some years, i wouldn't want to see a 4000$+ 1911 become a paperweight for lack of a 5.4'' replacement barrel.
Not as much now, but when i was in classic major i would dry fire 40 reloads everyday. Magwells we're changed every year. DVC magwells are bevelled at the rear i have seen, to fit the box.
Because i'll admit Sean, on income tax return, i'm getting damn near close of selling my trojan and switch out for a DVC.
But if there is nothing available in store parts wise (even if it had let's say the mention you have to show proof of ownership of a DVC to buy), you'll have a hard time seperating me from my 4K
