STI GP-6s have arrived!

Just waiting on the mags to arrive from STI. Last report was they had been shipped to Texas from Slovakia. Hopefully a new update soon.

As for the Blade-tech Hoslters, Josko at Double Tap called me yesterday to tell me he has them in stock now - give him a call. (I'm not a blade tech dealer...)

Does anyone know how to change the safety to the plug? I have both. :runaway:

Thanks!
Just recently i did complete disassembly to change trigger guard. What can i say, it is not easy, i was using this video in Russian for T10 (traumatic pistol based on K100).
You just need to make gun half-cocked and pull out safety lever.
But i did it as part of full dissasembly when both pins which are holding trigger group (complete assembly on metal insert) in a plastic frame were taken out. Looks like all trigger part need to be pull up a bit.
This is the exact video you need to see. It is clearly visible that guy is pushing up half cocked hammer with a thumb while taking out safety lever, good luck!

Primarily for Competition. In an IPSC production division competiton, the hammer is lowered manually (trigger pulled while shooter holds hammer and eases it down.) to make the gun ready for the holster. The first shot is double action; the rest single.

During the stage run, there is no need to engage a safety and the gun is cleared at the end of the stage. Being a died-in-the wool 1911 guy, I'd prefer a safety I can rest my thumb on, but some might prefer no safety being concerned about accidentily knocking the safety on during the run.

The DA only versions of the GP6 (when they arrive) will have plugs.

Waiting, waiting, waiting.....:nest:

:)
Me too...

Hey! Want to know how to keep an IPSC shooter in suspense?

Seriously... new update today.
It turns out STI's export permit to me didn't cover Federal Express
So.......they have to ship the way we always do - Air Cargo - but there's enough stuff accumulated at STI for me to cost effectively to bring in a shipment next week that includes the mags.

Sooooooo...the new date for arrival of GP-6 (and K100) Mags - that have just dents and no laser cuts - is now the week of May 18!!!

The new mags are different in that they are not lazer cut around the circumfrence. They are still dimpled front and rear to limit capacity, but shouldn't be as liable to crack as lazer cut mags are known to do, particularly when repeatedly dropped on concrete range floors.

It would be swell if they somehow came in at a lower price, but I expect they will be the same listed price, around $52 each.

Got'em - the 10 round GP6 mags with no laser cut have arrived.

I have enough to supply everyone plus those K100 owners out there still looking for mags....

If I have an order from you recently, I'll be processing it this week, if it's been a while since you ordered, feel free to remind me of what you want.

Thanks!
Sean.

Sean Blade Tech is now advertising holsters for the gun. Might be of interest to those who own one or who are contemplating buying one.

Take Care

Bob
