Sti Ranger II 1911 Questions

I am looking at a STI Ranger II in .40.

I am having hard times finding reviews of the pistol in .40. But I have found alot of threads saying .40 is a very unreliable cartridge in a 1911 platform.

Does anyone have experience with the STI Ranger II in .40 or even a 1911 in 40?

Is it reliable like a 1911 in 9mm or .45?

!! Before some of you tell me to get one in .45, I already have a 1911 in .45and 9mm. I am looking at one in .40 to add to the collection.!!

Nothing wrong with a 1911 in .40. Probably the most used cartridge in IPSC standard division with a 1911/2011 based pistol.

I not heard anything negative about STI Ranger II in .40 S&W. I have been considering getting one for myself.

The local rental range has a Ranger II in .40. It's proven itself over and over to be as reliable as any other 1911.

I had a Caspian 1911 single stack in 40 cal built by Gunnar. Ran like a dream and a tack driver to boot....of course I sold it and regret it every time I think of it.
