Has anyone else got one? I've got one in my 5" trojan. Im looking for tips or tricks for reassembling the gun when using one of these. It fine for dissassembly. But putting it back together is another story. It usualy flies across the room at least 3 times, followed by words I shall not repeat. The next place it's going to fly is out the window and get replaced with a normal spring. Anyone have the same problem/or a solution? Thanks

i have a range master if it is the same recoil spring ass. the supplied black plastic piece(10 cent part on a 1700$ pistol) you use to disassemble the pistol works the same way to reassemble it compression keeps it in place until the slide is back on the frame and locked back completly. you can then remove the bracket.

Thats how it's supposed to work. But after a while the "take down tool" gets worn on the edge and tends to slip off with the slightest bump causing everything to rocket apart (before you even get the assembly in the slide). Maybe you can buy replacement "take down tools" (as they call it)?

I've never had a problem with the one on my Edge in 3 years but I do have 2 in case I lose one
I did misplace the first one for a while and made one out of a pen case
