I picked up my new 9mm Trojan last week and today was it’s first visit to the range. I won’t get into the features of the gun because everyone can look those up. All I did prior to today was clean and lube. Conditions at the range were light snow and -3C. Ammo was a mix of 124 and 147 gr, round and flat nose, and a few different loads of Titegroup and Accurate #2. All made IPSC minor. I would have liked to shoot some factory, but that’ll have to wait for another day. Mags were the 9 round STI and 10 round Cobra. The trigger weighed in at just over 5#. The break was fairly clean, but you could tell there's a lot of engagement on the hooks. Take-up was short and I didn’t need to adjust the over-travel. Reset was short and very positive. Not a match trigger but definitely the best out of the box 1911 trigger I’ve ever experienced. In the first few mags I experienced some FTE’s and a few failures to lock back on the last shot. I changed out the recoil spring to 11# and all those problems disappeared. Over the next couple of hours 400 rounds went downrange. Zero FTE’s, zero FTF’s. All the brass dropped in a nice little pile at my feet. Accuracy didn’t disappoint as I was able to shred 2 inch target dots at 10 meters. Recoil was negligible as you might expect from a full-size 1911 in 9mm. The gun seemed to favour the Frontier 147 over 3.1 grains of Titegroup with the softest feel and lowest flip. Suffice to say, I’m very happy with my new toy. Can’t wait for next weekend!

Congrats on the 9mm Trojan. I nearly bought one till I found my .45 Springfield. It's still on my want list.

post few pics, never seen any in 9mm.

They are definitely nice guns. I picked one up about a month ago off the EE. Definitely tightest frame/slide fit of any 1911 I've owned. Previous owner had the trigger done by Gunnar and it breaks nicely at 3lbs 4oz. Just picked up the Dawson FO front from Freedom Ventures but haven't installed it yet. Will be giving my G17 the year off and shooting the Trojan for IDPA in 2011. Just need to decide on Tripp 10rd mags or Metalform 9rd Springfield mags.
