Shot one of these and it is hands down the most accurate and best shooting pistol I have ever shot. This gun in 9mm is so accurate and the recoil is like nothing, I shot it and the Spartan, both were fantastic, the Spartan is out of this world accurate and well built and the clear winner when it comes to gun value, but the 9mm STI Trojan is the all around best handgun I have ever shot.

Steve what have I been saying to you. My 9MM Trojan is all that you described and more. What holds me back is I can do my reloads a second faster with a double wide gun over the single stack which is why I am going with the SP-01 Shadow/Tanfoglio "L". Both have all the attributes of the Trojan but with a double stack.

Does this mean your Sig is for sale?:D

I had the Trojon and loved it.I ended up selling it and buying the commander length Ranger II.
Both guns are supurb.Fun guns to shoot.
I am curently selling the Ranger II in the EE forum:)

I used to have a Trojan and I must say, I made my best scores with her. Got all excited and decided to sell her to get a Target Master. Figured if it would shoot good, then the Target Master would run circles around it.

Boy was I wrong. The extra inch screwed the balance of the gun and even with my handloads, I never got to come close to the scores I had with my beloved Trojan. Same thing for a friend of mine. These guns really shoot.

Bought a CZ Shadow. I'm not going to keep her. I'm buying another Trojan.

I'm a complex person...:runaway:

The only thing I did to mine was set up the sights, she runs flawless with 124s.She has used up a little more than 1100 rounds and not a hiccup.Gunnar tuned the trigger for me, very light and crisp. At 25 yds she runs 1 1/2-2 inches. With enough practice she should stay in the 1- 1 1/2 inch range and i will be very happy.Makes me smile every time I take her out.

Hmmm.... I've been toying with the idea ofselling off my Glock 34 (FULLY decked out, trigger is 2lbs, trigger stop and trigger return stop..yes just click, click , click, magwell, fiber sights, extended release, extended slide, Target Barrel....etc..etc..etc) i use for IPSC and PPC but i have SO much $$ invested, i dont know if its worth it for me anymore...:( Hmmmmmm.....

After 6 1911s I can honestly say I'd never trade a Glock for one, at least not for actual competition use.

Not worth the probable headache.

Practice you reloads. When I was shooting single stack, I could reload at almost the same speed as I do with my STI Edge. I contemplate going back to single stack, but shoooting minor makes it a little to hard to keep up with the pack.

Yes practice works but still as you say you are almost as fast. That is where I am at as well. Love my single stack Trojan though and I certainly haven't given up on it. I shoot mainly IDPA so minor/major scoring is a none issue. My Trojan does quite well is ESP. Next year though I intend to shoot mostly SSP with either my Shadow &/or SP-01 or my M&P 9MM.

I am pretty inept at both but I do enjoy the fun of the games.

Trojan

Glad to read all the kudos for the pistol.... Just bought a new 9mm STI Trojan, haven't got it yet, it's being cleared - should get it sometimes next week. Really looking forward to shooting it!! Can anybody recommend the best ammo for it?

Not had chance to use a STI but did use a 9mm SVI earlier on in the year, on first looks it appeared very agricultural but once loaded and in the hand it was by far the best 9mm I've ever handled, shot after shot in to the 10 ring, the only down side was the $3000+ price tag.
