The Ranger II is sweeeeeeeet... I say go for the Ranger instead :)

The recoil is incredibly tame for a short 1911.

I already have a compact Kimber, I am looking for a gun I can use for single stack major (Steel Challenge, Bianchi Cup ) without shooting a 45.

What is the difference between the Trojan and the Ranger models?
Here is a pic with both of them.

Just wanted to update that Sean from Freedom did get back to me this morning. I figured it was just a busy day for him as he has always responded right away before.

Yep - my apologies, I'm juggling our new lines; Bushmaster (Ordering...probably 2 months out), CR-Speed (Ordering.. due in a month) and Mossberg (1st order landing later this week) right now while still coordinating STI (next order in air - I hope) and Tanfoglio. (next order 3 weeks out) :dancingbanana:

I hope to have life back to (almost) normal in a week or so.

FWIW, The Ranger was a 4" version of the Trojan. The Ranger II was the same, but specifically created for those countries with a 4" law, (like us) so it's barrel was 4.15". STI found it very popular and phased out the Ranger.

Thanks!
