I bought a GP100 .357 with 6" barrel. Great gun, I really enjoy shooting it. I've put 250 rounds of Wolf SWC reloads through it with no problem. I noticed some lead fouling in the barrel so once I finished the initial 250 rounds I decided to try some American Eagle JSP. First 6 rounds shot great, much more accurate than the Wolfs. Problem when I tried to eject them though. Basically, I couldn't. Eventually I had to pull the spent cases out of the cylinder with a pair of pliers. On examining the cases I noticed streaks of lead stuck to the sides - it looked like they'd been sweat-soldered. I'm assuming that the Wolf SWC's must have also fouled the cylinder chambers, and the American Eagle (which felt much hotter btw) melted the lead fouling onto the cases and made them really hard to eject.
Is this a common problem? How does lead fouling get into the chambers?
