Hey fellow CGN-ers! I've got sweaty hand syndrome and I need to replace my stock 1911 NP29 grips. Any suggestions? I like the Mapgul ones, but are they the stickiest?

Thoughts? Recommendations?

Eat some popsicles then shoot, that will cover the sticky as far as grippy goes I like vz's,yeah their a bit of $ but completely worth it.

I like g10,some people like rubber some like wood and some like plastic
For me g10 is for shooting
wood is for safe queens
Rubber is for people that don't know what they want so they default to houge wrap around
And plastic is the garbage that comes on the gun when I buy it and eventually sits at the bottom of a drawer next to the ####ty cable locks and cleaning brushes that come with guns.

I thought those burnt rubber NP-29 grips were the grippiest?

I am liking my new (to me) Crimson Trace grips.

They grip well for me and first time out with them, at 7 yards using the laser, no sights, two hand isosceles I was shooting fast 2.5" - 3" groups right on POLaser. I was impressed.

I somewhat agree with this, I have g10, VZ, wood, Hogue, plastic, aluminum, on various guns, the only part I somewhat disagree with is the Hogue ones, I've often debated changing them on my 1911, but they are very grippy and very sticky, they have served me well, I even took first in a steel challenge last year with them. If I do Change them it will be for VZ's

Friend just got VZ Aliens for his Tac Ops, and I will say, they've got it. I have really sweaty hands as well, though the front strap texture really makes a difference with my grip.

I got myself a pair of LOK grips for my 1911.They are very similar to VZ grips but less expensive, they come in a number of styles,I ordered the "roughnecks",super grippy.Ive used them recently at a shoot when the weather was really hot giving slippery, sweaty hands and they worked really well.Highly recommended. They deliver to Canada

Here is a pair of 1911 G10 grips I received yesterday. I wanted them basically for cosmetic reasons for my NP29. I must say you wont experience any type of vertical movement with grips like these lol.

The quality and fit is great and they sell for around $30.00 less then similar VZ grips. I have never seen these offered at any LGS's. No fancy package, came in a small ziplock bag.

I paid $59.99, that included tax and shipping! We only have a basic account with Amazon, not sure if Prime members get a better deal.

I would seriously look at putting a strip of skateboard tape on the front strap if you really want it to stay put. I have water buffalo bone grips on mine, smooth panels, but with the skateboard tape and a proper grip that bastard stays put in my hand, even with stout .45acp handloads.
