I got this Boyds Pro Varmint stock in walnut for my 452 American. Boyds does not offer a walnut Pro Varmint for the American, so I got one for the 452 Varmint. I had to inlet for the rear tang lug and it fits nicely. This stock works very well off the bench. I'm looking for a more permanent scope for this rifle.

Metalbender did such a nice job on his scout I finally found a stock to do the same thing.
Many thanks to Metalbender to discover the Evo stock that fits a 452. Thanks Bender.
The trigger guard shown is made by a fellow Gun Nut,quite nice also.

I've got a couple of those EVO stocks and I really like them. Good ergos.

You guys inspired me to pick up a CZ, im kinda ocd with looks and couldn't get the lux I was looking at. Picked up the 455 Canadian ! Slammed a cheap 22 scope on her till I get some better glass... Expecting good things from this !

I ordered the 455 Lux in .22 LR yesterday from P&D, and it arrived today already. Top notch service, and I love the way this rifle points.... the sights line up so naturally for me.

I gotta stop looking at this sticky!
Nice rifle setup Tom E Gun! If I ever see it on the EE….

Thanks John, I don't plan on listing it on the EE anytime soon. It shoots pretty well, but I have not cracked the 5x 1/2" groups at 50 yards challenge yet. I have come close, so I think it is the operator and not the hardware that is the problem :)

Just got my 455 HB into its new stock. Picked up a Boyds Pro Varmint in Royal Jacaranda. Fit and finish of the stock is great the feel is what I was looking for. I just wish the red would have dyed better. I guess I can always paint it.

New CZ 455

Here is my new CZ 455 Gray Laminate w/ Fluted Barrel (the bottom rifle in this pic):

I purchased this rifle BNIB from another CGN member, it just arrived on Monday. I really like the fluted barrel and I prefer some of the design features of the 455 in comparison to the 452. Now to find out how it shoots...

At one time both CZ455's are wearing the same scopes; the Burris Full Field 4.5 - 14 x 42.

Currently the Varmint has a Leupold 36BR and the American a Bushnell 6500 2.5 - 16 x 42.

I see lots of you folks own several CZs. Any real difference in accuracy between the Varna contour barrels and the Sporter barrles? I'm thinking of a buying a CZ 455 standard and I wondering how it will perform compared to a heavy barrelled CZ.

Just a crummy basement picture. Will take a good one outside when I take these two to the gopher patch this spring. The 455 Lux .22lr I have owned for three years and it is a gopher destroyer with irons. The 452 Varmint in .17 Hmr is new to me, I wanted an American in .17 Hmr, but found this for a good deal used. The Varmint really isn't heavy like a centerfire varmint rifle (7lbs 1.8oz on my scale), so it should still make a good walking gopher gun. I'm thinking a Leupold 2-7 rimfire on top. What do you guys think?
