Using an Oryx on the old 452/455 action is a genius move. The chassis is so flat that you need to run high scope rings no matter what, rendering the 90° bolt throw a total non-issue for optic choice.

My 2 gopher rifles; Brno Model 2E with a Leupold 6X with AO, Harris Bipod and sling plus glass bedding and trigger work. And....CZ 452 Varmint in 17HMR with a Leupold 10X with AO plus the ubiquitous Harris Bipod, sling, trigger job and glass bedding. I have over 35,000 rounds through the Brno. It was made in about 1983 IIRC. EAW rings on both.
