Apologies if this ends up being a noob question but I do need to know. I was in a store the other day looking at some of the Vortex PST line of scopes. Every one I picked up felt like they needed a pair of channel lock pliers to rotate the magnifier. Now there was a small button head screw on the power ring and I was wondering if that was an adjustment?

The guy behind the counter was new to Vortex so he did not know why they were so stiff.

Many thanks for any insight or comments.

Mine's stiff as well. I may be wrong, but I don't think the screw will adjust that. As Daver says, - switch throw is the way to go.

Mine are stiff as well.... But I like that, but that's only because I use all of my rifles for hunting..... I like that I ft in my environment and set it and know it won't move.....

Ironically, the only on that isn't stiff is on my coyote rifle... So it woks out perfect for me...

Shop around I have a Bushnell dmr 3.5-21 that is miles ahead of the 4-16 ffp pst I had, I bought it from a store boxing day sale for way less than I have seen a pst.

I have one too, I love mine. I actually bought a PST FFP on a Friday eve on the way home from work and took it back for the 21x DMR the next morning. When the difference is 100$, the DMR kills it. If the difference is 900$, that's different.
