Technically it's been 45 business days since CFC receive my application (and 1 full month after they start processing it). And BC CFO even say it may take until January to even finish processing it.

Well, regardless of whether I get my RPAL or not, I will still stand with the rest of the firearms community.

In the meantime, someone recommend me where to get Infinity Edge around Lower Mainland.

Start a thread in General gun discussion telling us what guns you plan on getting and what kind of shooting you plan on doing and we
can all talk about what we would do if we were you, or what we wish we had done when we started shooting.

ive only heard of a few people in the last couple years getting their PAL in the 45 day time frame, most are 60-90 days, although i know of 2 people personally that are hitting the 1 year mark, and there is one guy in alberta that is at month 15 now, so its hit and miss as to when they will get to your`s, patients is a virtue lol, i spent the time waiting for mine by researching guns, and setting money aside so when that fateful day arrived and i got my card in the mail, i went straight to my local store and started my collection :)

Call the CFO office weekly, that's what I did and it speeds things up tremendously. I also waited three months for a LTATT which was processed with me on the phone when I called about it. They basically won't do anything if you wait patiently.

Thry are probably trying to contact references, friend got hers in 60 days right after i was called as her reference

Mine took exactly 30 days from date of receipt to approval. Was OK'd 15 days in, but they needed to wait 30 and then 40 days until license was In hand. This was in 2011 tho also in BC. I had sent my application in xpresspost with signature so date they received is date they signed.

Also you can have your references call there statements in also speeds the process. And I know they prefer it that way.

The federal one in NB or provincial one in BC?

Speaking of references. If they're not easily reached by phone, call Miramichi and explain this and ask if YOUR references can call IN
with your reference number to do the interview. 99% of the time they'll say, "Yes. Have them call us at extension so-and-so.

I thought the NB already called my reference?

If I recall correctly, you did tell us that Miramichi had talked to one of your references (and that friend confirmed that to you, right?) and then your
application was sent to the BCFO for final approval? I wonder if they are doing some further checking, I didn't get any kind of run-around earlier
this year with my RPAL, Miramichi handled it all (for all I knew) and sent my card within a few days.

A 10-day bump, still nothing. Should I call BC-CFO again? Or should I take it as they say ask at next year?

i called them once every week or two, kept me fresh, always super polite when i called, i made a mistake on the pal application so my time was longer then it wouldve been, 90 when i did my pal, then last summer i upgraded to rpal and it was 45 days from day i took my test till day card was in hand,
