Still Waiting.........

:runaway:

It's always the new guys... seriously. The Xmas season is probably the busiest for a gun/ammo store. Look what is going on in the states, Irunguns is almost sold out on everything. Brownell's and Numrich have a huge banner about "Long waits-Backorders may not be filled"... I'm sure this has trickled down to the Canadian market and retailers are SWAMPED. A little patience. I think the OP is the guy showing a lack of respect. But this seems to be the norm nowadays in the Member Forums.

I wasn't going to say anything but here it goes. I don't know the OP personally but I recently bought a rifle off of him. He's in BC I'm in Manitoba so we had to email/text back and forth etc. I've bought many things online and done many transactions. I must say that the OP is very polite, respectful, and very patient. I asked him many questions, asked for pictures and even got him to phone me long distance on his dime. He did everything I asked without a hickup. Might I add this was all over a $250 gun, not exactly a big deal. After and hour of good gun talk on the phone we did the deal. I mailed him a money order and sometime later it arrived, he never said a word about how long it took.

I've made my piece, him being new has nothing to do with it. I'm also patient and give people the benefit doubt but come on! They billed him and don't even have the decentcy to say "hey sorry we're busy we'll ship it soon.". That's all it would have taken for him to be happy.

This thread is about lack of customer service in the world today which seems to be the norm and not the exception! I realize firearms deals take longer, and shipping during Christmas is slow.

For the record I have nothing against Canada ammo, I have no experience with them other then browsing their website.

After reading about this for the 1,000,000th time... Be patient.. they will send what you ordered!
It will take them an inordinate amount of time.. But they will send you the goods eventually.

Do your homework before ordering online!!!!

CanAm are AAAAA+++++ in my books. I've always had great service from them, every single time, over and over. They've also gone above and beyond for me, twice, when they didn't have to. AWESOME people to deal with.

Really? My order status didn't change and no tracking number received......

Update: received shipping notice email. Great!

'"Reeaaalllllyyy" (foot in mouth)... Oh Thanks!!! You guys are great! '

I think most of us see how trivial this thread is. If some of you don't, you need to grow some patience and realize shipping guns and ammo is different than shipping other merchandise, especially when the holidays are involved.

So I talked to Canada Ammo today and I guess mine was the one sks/ammo combo that didn't ship yesterday, ordered it the 21st of December...........Paul was good about it, he price matched some ammo I added to the order; however they sold all the silver box Norinco 7.62 x39 before they filled my order so he is giving me the copper washed stuff instead. Somehow my order got the shuffle. Anyways hopefully my next experience is better! I haven't given up on you yet Canada Ammo!

PS - what is the difference between these two different Norinco ammo lots?

I would assume the copper washed is older, other than that I don't understand the difference

Guys, considering all the good work that CanadaAmmo has done for our community, this is one of the most disappointing threads yet to see light on this forum. Doing dirty laundry in public to embarrass one of our best suppliers and supporters is not what most of us think is reasonable use of this opportunity. Call up the supplier and talk about it. Those of us who have business experience - can assure those who do not - that stuff happens despite best intentions. Regardless things also get fixed. This isn't amazon.com with shipping warehouses and 2,000 employees on headsets. Live with it, or shop elsewhere.

THIS!! RIGHT HERE!! ARE YOU PEOPLE HEADKICKED?? Placed an order 21 Dec. A FRIDAY FOR CRYING OUT LOUD!! Then, 2 DAYS LATER (ON A SUNDAY!!) send an email asking for the status. UNBELIEVABLE. tHEN SENT another email on the 25th? AND YOU DIDN'T GET AN ANSWER ON CHRISTMAS EVE, CHRISTMAS DAY, OR BOXING DAY??? I am no less than stunned by this complete lack of customer service!!
Let's see, most sane people closed on Sunday. Christmas Eve and Christmas Day and Boxing day are written off. Quite possibly the 27th as well. I would have been absolutely floored if ANYONE in Canada would have responded before the 3rd of January.
What the hell is wrong with you frickin' people? Build a frickin' bridge and get over it!! This "instant gratification society" is too frickin needy.
Canada Ammo has been NOTHING short of stellar in their customer service toward my orders in the past and have a lock on all my future purchases if they carry what I am looking for.

Whoa whoa whoa.... People are getting a little crazy in here on both sides of the issue.

First, I can understand being anxious to get something you've purchased. I'm a regular purchaser on the internet and I've dealt with many companies and most successful companies are good at two things which keep their customers satisfied; 1) Timely order processing and shipping and 2) Timely communication to the customer when something is going to take longer than it should.

Realistically, processing an in-stock order of an item and having it ready to ship out (assuming no requirement for transfers, custom work, etc.) should take no more than 3 business days. People can say, "Go somewhere else if you don't like it" all they want and in most cases that's true. But in this case the consumer can't, and the reason that businesses with poor procedures and strategies still survive is that there is a lack of REAL competition in the market. Let's face it, when it comes to selling firearms on the internet in Canada, life's pretty easy for the businesses that have the licenses to do it. If it didn't take a special license to do business you'd see a lot of businesses fail and others would have to adapt to be faster, smarter and better in many ways to survive.

Am I here to rag on Canada Ammo? Nope. I have contacted them about a recent order and received a timely reply and all of the information I needed. I think Canada Ammo is trying hard (at least in my case) to communicate with me and keep me happy. That's all I ask.

However, the reason I found this thread is because I am also waiting for something I recently purchased (on the 26th), paid for it on the 30th by direct cash deposit into the CanadaAmmo bank account, and it has been submitted to the CFC for transfer today (January 9th). Do I care why it took 7 business days (from the date of confirmed, cash payment) to start a transfer? Nope, But am I allowed to want it faster? Of course. I'm the customer.

Sure, maybe the crew at Canada Ammo took some extra days off. No biggie, that's up to the owners and principals of the company. Maybe they got slammed with sales that they weren't expecting. No biggie, that's part of learning about being in business online. But somebody has to keep in mind that there is a customer out there somewhere who wants their stuff. I placed an order to a relatively small company in California on the 21st. I had that item in my hand on the 28th. That's THREE business days to process, package, ship and receive. And that's not Amazon with 500,000 employees working 24 hours a day. (Amazon, by the way, ships within HOURS of your order).

So what am I trying to say? I'm trying to say that I bought from Canada Ammo for a reason, and I will probably buy from them again if they have a good price on something I want. Will I order from them around the holidays again? No, probably not. I'll try to order before, or wait until after. But that doesn't mean they've done anything wrong. It just means that their success in the short term will be limited by their ability to process orders. Sounds like they are implementing a new system which means that they'll have greater capacity to deal with order processing. That's great and it gives me confidence to go back to them in the future.

At any rate, people are allowed to complain about their experiences guys. Otherwise you may as well hoist a North Korean flag and serve me cardboard tacos for dinner.

I placed an order with Canada Ammo on the 20th of December, they called me on the 23 and told me one of my items were out of stock. My package arrived by Canpar on January 7th. With free shipping and a holiday I was very impressed with the return time.

I'm just glad the posts have gone down to a few sentences in this thread. They just kept getting bigger and bigger. I thought the next one would fill the page.

Replace Britney with Canadaammo and insert ammo references in all the appropriate places. Take Heed and observe this message. I'm serious though.

I'm sure everyone will get their stuff soon enough and all will be forgiven... Hell, I already placed another order...

I ordered on the Jan,1st ,today's state : Received and not yet processed
I don't know what are they doing:(((((((((((((((((((((((((

Personally i think its totally unacceptable for a business to not process orders and ship them within a day or two. Honestly.. that is your job.. hence being in business and taking orders. People dont want to wait weeks and weeks for items letalone weeks and weeks before they are even processed. I ordered ammo from them about a week ago, called in and asked about it and it wasnt processed and wasnt going to be until later next week so i just canceled it and went and bought it somewhere else, other said business had the order shipped the next morning. There are plenty of businesses struggling and would love to take my money and process it in a reasonably fast time. IF you are backed up that bad that it is taking weeks to process orders then you better hire more staff to handle the orders.

Another thread #####ing about dealers.....

....something a aspiring sponsoring dealer would say.
I find these threads greatly entertaining.

I said this in another post... actually as a reply to another one of yours:
-"It keeps businesses polished"-
Nothing wrong with that.
