I just bought one of these, TAC 30. I interested to hear from some troops who are owner/operators. I believe that it's a well made product, and think that for me it was the right choice.

Do you have it in your hands or did you just order it? I have one on my 6X47 Lapua and I just bought Seekins bottom metal for it. Should be shooting it by the end of the week. The only problem with my action was that the bolt release was not cut properly and I could not remove the bolt, so i had to take it off and grind it down so that it worked. I talked to Jerry about it and he did not seem to concerned.

I have mine on a switch bbl set up, in summer I compete with my 6.5-47Lapua in a McMillan A5 stock, and in the fall it switches to a thumb hole stock and hosts a .257 for deer.

It is a great action.

I have picked up three of them now but have not had the time to do the builds. Three TAC 338 actions. They look excellent. I have Seekins extended detachable mags for them as well.

Got two of the actions from Ian Robertson and one from Corolane Sports. I think ATRS is also stocking a few of Stiller's actions to, or at least bringing them in.

Stiller action

Mind if I ask who you ordered it from and what it set you back for price?

Ian Robertson at Robertson Composites,is a Stiller Dealer.
Price is on the Stiller site, depending on the exchange rate, your price might vary? I'm at the $1200 mark.

I just picked up one of the tac338's from ATRS. Feels like a nice action and can't wait to put everything else together for the build.

I've got a TAC 30 waiting

for a stock to come in for an ATRS .260AI build..... C'mon stock.....Daddys waitin for ya........

Ricks gonna use Glenn seekins bottom metal so i can long seat......

Can't wait....

What did it cost from atr? If the price is right I may get out of the business.

Don't stop selling them Ian. Not sure what the price is at ATR but the fact that you build an excellent stock to go with them is a perfect reason for anyone to get them from you.

As soon as my day job lets up a little (Oil Patch) and I can start moonlighting as a gunsmith again, I'll be posting pics of a couple TAC 338's sitting in some very nice Robertson Stocks for people to drool over.

It seems that this thread would be much better with pictures...:)

Here is mine, and an unabashed plug for CGN and its dealer members...

Stiller Tac 30 action from Ian Robertson (Please don't stop selling them!)
McMillan A5 from Wallbanger (CGN member)
Bbl from Gaillard (not sure if he is a dealer, but he is a respected name on CGN)
Scope, Lapua Brass and Bullets from Peter Dobson (Hirsch Precision)

roberti,
Sweet rig!

Just a heads up on your edgewood rear bag, you can tuck the filling ports under the ears, you don't have to leave them out, unless you wanted to?

Thanks Rick, that was last years picture, I have since been informed of the error of my ways, and taken corrective measures :)
