Stock attach bolt

Is there any reason the stock attach bolt is hollow.i was thinking of tapping the end and putting an internal hex bolt head on it to ease install and removal . This is on the CZ 858

If it's hollow it's to save weight.

I think it would be easier to make a big screwdriver to do the job.

I used an easy out to remove it . I didn't have much luck with my 3 foot lee valley screwdriver.
