I have three stocks that now need some checkering. I have been playing around/practicing on various pieces of hardwood with a 20 lpi hand checkering tool and it is not as easy as it seems. Does anyone here do their own checkering and have any suggestions? Anyone use the electric checkering tool from Brownells? Know anyone in Canada that does a decent job without a long wait time?
Thanks.

Don't know who does the checkering for Jason at Gunco in Nepean, but the quality is excellent.

and it is not as easy as it seems...

LOL ... as one who used to do quite a bit of checkering I find that very funny.

After many years it still will not seem easy. :)

I have an electric checkering tool for sale as I stopped doing fancy stock work a few years ago. It does make it a bit easier but you still need to know the basics... if anyone is interested send a PM.
