Stock checkering

Decker that stock you showed, checkering looks fantastic! Thanks for posting that.

Got one checkering tool that I’ve used to recut old/worn checkering on a cheap stock. But that may be the limit of of abilities.
 
The time it takes to do one stock... if a company is offering that service, most likely have invested in a few power checkering tools.

Like most things in life, watching someone else doing it, seems not bad. Those electronic tools look slick but I bet there is quite a learning curve and a big time saver once “mastered”. It’s unfortunate they are so expensive and I’m surprised there isn’t a dremel attachment similar to the proprietary tools.
