I have heard it said that proper stock fit is important to precision shooting, perhaps some can give me some help here.
How do you check if a stock fits properly, and what things are most important? What does proper fit actually mean?
Are there differences in how it should fit for prone shooting vs off a bench?
What is with the "thumb hook" on some of the tactical stocks?
The other issue is, I'd love to buy some cool looking stock.. but would hate to get it in the mail and then realize it isn't even a good match for my body. Are there any retailers in Ontario that carry different aftermarket stocks so you can go see them first?
