I have an old savage 340A with a cracked stock. I cannot seem to find any information on replacement stocks anywhere. Does anyone one here know where I might find one? Any stock that would fit would do. I have no preference over synthetic or wood. I am going to try gluing the crack as well but I don't have high hopes for that being a permanent fix.

Boyds does carry those stocks. I was kinda hoping to find something cheaper. I wonder if there's any other styles that would be comparable enough to work.

A Boyds stock would indeed be nice, but not for the cost on a Savage 340. No offense as they are a good rifle, by all accounts, but probably fixing the existing stock and refinishing it will allow you to engage in a fun project and produce a fine end result. A brass screw through the stock where the crack has appeared, in conjunction with some JB Weld or other good glue type fix would make it strong as new. Others may have specific advice on how best to proceed in your case, but I have repaired (or had my good CGN buddy repair) numerous stocks over the years with excellent results.

Ya for what boyds wants for the stocks I could just buy a better 3030. Probably going to just try fixing it up. No sense spending 300 dollars on a 100 dollar gun.
