I have a Anschutz Model 54 match 22 LR that was used for national
Level shooting by my father in law ( it was a tack driver with Eley ammo) and then packed away for for the last 25 years. Im looking to put an updated stock on it ( current stock was carved and fitted for the shooter so it’s messy) and wanted to find out what my options are. Any suggestions
 
As you may know, there are no readily available aftermarket stocks for the barreled action, not even from Boyds. It's likely that a used stock is the best option.

On more question -- what's the age of the rifle?

To go by the information already provided, it's a Match 54 single shot rifle that's been put away for the last 25 years. It could be from the late 50's or early 60's all the way up to nearer to a quarter century ago. If it's pre-1976 almost any used Anschutz Match 54 single shot rifle stock would fit. Post-1976 trigger housings require more space than provided on pre-1976 stocks, but they can be modified to work. Any post-1976 round action 54 single shot stock will fit the older barreled actions, but to use the bolt safety some stock modifications are needed. (There is square action single shot Anschutz Match 54.)

Thank you for the information. I’m not sure of the age but I suspect with the serial number I should be able to find out.

It is stamped on the left side of the barrel. Number = older (pre-76), Alpha code = newer. All 54 Match actions are essentially cross-compatible with minor fitment either due to safety or trigger assembly cutout.
 
You could get Steve Wooster in Washington to build you a carbon fiber silhouette stock. That would drop weight off the gun and give you the best damn offhand hunting stock you've ever felt.
