Hi everyone. It's time to replace the factory stock on my Savage 12FV in .223.

I've see the Boyd's stocks in a few posts and they look good, but I'm sure they're not the only ones out there. Does anyone else have any suggestions?

Thanks

Savage shooters supply and Brownells. Don't know if they export but very nice composite products. Of course, you can ask Ian Robertson on this board as he has a well established stock making company and right here in Canada.

If you want synthetic, get a Robertson Composite. IF you like laminate and have some spare time on your hands to finish a stock then get a Richard's laminate from California. Doesn't matter if it costs over $100, no import permit, they just mail.

Does anyone have any personal experience with either the Boyd's or Richards Laminates?

How about the Robertson or Bell and Carlson Medalist Composites?

The Richards Microfit stock qork quality is getting better all the time. I just got one for a 1903 Springfield in brown-brown laminate. Save yourself a bunch of work and get them to install the recoil pad.

Choate Stock arrived today. Super stiff. Big improvement over the original tupperware stock.

We bring in a number of stocks for the Savage based on our customers requests. If Brownells carries it, we can bring it in for you. Let us know if we can do anything.
