Looking for aftermarket stock for a Savage short action varmint gun in .223 I really like the H-S Precision stock in Tan that is on the Remington VSF. but don't think they make it for Savage 10FP model.

any ideas where I could find a nice tactical / varmint stock in a tan?

I believe the Bell & Carlson Medalist Varmint/Tactical stock can be ordered in Tan with Black Spiderweb.
If you check out the thread titled 'New Savage' you can see mine in the all black version of that stock.

sharpeshootersupply.com makes great stocks for savages.

There is another maker much easier to order from and absolute top quality stocks but he hasn't announced his new tactical/varmit stock so I better not speak out of turn. Maybe he will announce soon or get it up on his website.

stockade will not ship to Canada.

After looking at every possible option, I ordered a McMillan A-5 for my new 110FP.

The wait is going to kill me :)

Brownells has all but the varmit model in stock and will ship to a dealer here. I had Williams Arms order a benchrest model and special order the varmit. The first arrived quickly and I doubt it will take too long for the other. The BR model is still at Williams Arms if anyone wants to see it. They are the Money Saver type meaning they need to be finished, all the Stocks Kevin sells to Brownells are the Money Saver type but if you special order, you can get whatever you want.

Cheers

Robertson Composite in Canada, any colour you want and 6-8 weeks, no hassel shipping as it doesn't have to cross the border. ON the board here and excellent to deal with as well.

Well Kevin Rayhill has decided to NOT sell some of his products to Brownells. Back in November I was talking directly to him and he said he would ship the stock to Brownells, no problem. That was BULLSHHIT because I ain't got no stock. Williams Arms calls me up and explains what Brownells told them. I call Kevin and get it from the horse's mouth, he said he will not sell that stock to Brownells. He did say however that he will be lining up an importer within two weeks hopefully. Whatever, why in the ell didn't he sell to Brownells until the importer was in place? Some people, anyhow since $700 is way past the budget for a tac stock, I'll wait and see. Bondo is starting to look good :D
