Just curious what canadian distributors have available for less expensive stocks on a Stevens 200 (.223). The model I have has the internal magazine within the stock.

I've seen choate stocks online and I love them. Usually around $250.00 or so. What sort of other options are available? Maybe cheaper?

Suggestions? Links, prices.

While were here may as well get ideas for barrels and their price ranges.

Take off HS Precison or Mcmillans are nice, choates, and B and C, laminate target stocks. Your internal mag rifle can be converted to dbm. bbls range from about $330-460$ for Shilens

If you haven't visited, please go to my website and many of your questions will get answered.

Thanks,

I have been looking actually and you've got some great products. The more I look at it the more I like the Choate Ultimate Sniper stock. Although upon further inspection, your site says "Savage SA (4.25″ only)" The Stevens 200 has 4.41" or something around there correct?

On another note is there a magazine in the Ultimate Sniper stock? Internal? Detachable?

Thanks for any info anyone has.

Sniper stocks have blind mags and will require a bit of fitting for the new center feed mag. The well is larger so the new mag will need to be bedded.

Then the front bolt hole will need to be moved that "1/8" ".

Otherwise, it will fit the Stevens CF actions just fine.

The tactical model is a drop in fit for you rifle and look much better in my opinion. Google choate tactical and you can see some pics.

Cheers

I usually have a couple around, but if not can get one for you pretty quick if you decide you want to upgrade.

Thanks for the info Jerry. Is it a big job doing what you described and what sort of tools does it require?

You can move the bolt hole with a Dremel and a carbide cutter. You are cutting alum so not that bad.

The mag needs careful fitting, some epoxy or other material to wedge it in place and at the proper height.

A bit fussy but doable.

If I can help you with a Choate, let me know
