I am building a 338 Edge on my Savage 116 and am lookng for (available) options for a stock. I would like a McMillan A5 or something similar. I know of the McMillan A5 and Choate makes a clone to it. Sharp shooter supply makes a laminate clone of it, which is nice. But where do i find a good supplier of any of these or, what else is out there. Any ideas would be appreciated

ATRS, 24 hr campfire, and JW precision all can ship you a Mcmillan. I have an A3-5 Adj enroute for my 338 Edge project. What are you using for a barrel?

Is your Savage a centerfeed or staggerfeed?
Sharp Shooter Supply doesn't ship to Canada anymore. :(
Last time I emailed Robertson they didn't inlet for Savage. :/
McMillian will ship it directly to you if you phone them and order it. 10% down and full payment on the day it ships. 3 /12 months lead time. If you want a no nonsence stock the Mcmilly is what you want.

Robertson, will build for a savage but they need your barrelled action. Infact they may well have done a few buy now and so don't need it.

As for sharp shooter supply my story regarding a stock purchase is an extremely saddening and ugly example of customer service. If you search the web, it appears I'm not the only one treated such.

I think the only Savage inlets that Robertson Composites does not do is the one with the mag release button on the side but this may have changed since I got my stock last year. I own 3 of their stocks from 204 caliber to 300 Win Mag rifles. I have used their stocks on a number of other builds to boot. Some were inletted others were not. Once I sent them a barrelled action to do up an inlet and now it is offered without the need. Their new Tactical stock is first rate. Quality is excellent on all of their products and they offer a guarantee on their workmanship as well. If you have not checked out their new website yet then you should, it is a huge improvement from the old one with many different stock options to fit most any need from hunting to target to tacticool.

I just recently got a Choate from North Shore Barrels, it is the non adjustable version but I will be putting an adjustable cheek riser on it though. My first impressions are that this is a solid well made stock, I have yet to do any shooting with it though so time will tell.

I can get a McMillan for you and I offer the best prices for an ordered stock with a 3.5 month wait available, bar non. If you find one less than my quote I will beat it but I don't think you will find one.
