Stock recommendation for 10/22 w hvy brl...

What are you doing with the gun ? Hunting, target shooting, etc ? Personally, I use my 22s for varmint shooting most of the time so my 10/22s usually get set in a Hogue stock. Cost effective, comfortable, and readily available.

What application?

I like a laminate for target but without checkering they are slippery to walk around with.

Buy a McMillan thumbhole from Milarm in Edmonton. You woouldn't have to consider another stock after that. You may have to work a bit of overtime to pay for it though.

+1 re the $100 Hogue stock - I considered some of the nice wooden laminate stocks, but was looking for something a little lighter - the Hogue has been great for what I'm doing - casual plinking, rabbits/grouse, & non-competitive paper punching.
