You could also talk to Rick at ATRS. He may have one in stock and if not he can get one in on his permit when he makes an order.

As far as McMillans go, Rick Bin at 24hr is awesome. If someone up here (unlikely) has the model, LOP, barrel channel, etc that you want in stock then giver.

Yup! ....... I order two in Dec. One the 1st week and another the last week. I got notice they are at the PO today. Pick them up in the morn.

Wow. So ordering one - a plain, no special option model for a Remington 700, not some odd thing - in mid-December means you have no ETA as of July 18, but order one on May 1 and it is ready to ship by July 18.....

Theres only certain number of models for a rem 700 and maybe only a few molds for each. Therefore when there is already 1000 orders in, you wait your turn. With his Wby, there may have only been 12 orders ahead... Rem 700 is their most ordered inlet, doesnt matter if you are doing a one colour plain stock or a multi coloured. My Sako stocks are usually 14 weeks.

I just picked up a Bell & Carlson Tactical Medalist Style 4 Series 1000 Long Range Remington 700 Short Action from Prophet River Firearms and it only took two weeks to my door. I am very happy with the service and the time frame. Everyone else was quoting me 6-10 weeks.

I see your point but you'd think they would have an appropriate number of molds per historical ordering patterns. Then again why change your MO as long as the orders keep rolling in?

The current issue is that they had a 10% price increase on Jan.1/13, so there were probably 2 or 3 x the normal orders in Dec., and now they are playing catchup. Historically, the wait times are 12-16 weeks.

Guys were ordering multiple stocks for rifles they didn't even have yet.
