Wrong thread man We are talking about stock piling.

i have shoot some russian ammo from 1951 and 1958 and they all go bang at the first time , and if you keep that stuff for 20-30 year it because you dont shoot enough !

You'd be better off buying dies and a shell holder for reloading. NRCan has already stopped the importation of most surplus ammo of any kind.

Not if there are the drastic change in gun control laws that keep getting second guessed in so many threads on this forum.

As for prices always going up - 7.62x39 has become cheaper as the year wore on!

The difference between gold and ammo is that gold sometimes goes down in value....

thats very true. however not everyone can use ammo at present time, therefore the market is currently smaller which can make offloading more difficult as its damn expensive to ship privately.

Ammo, powder, primers. Buy a little at a time as you can afford it. It doesn't go bad and we've seen enough shortages in the last decade to know that we need to keep some reserves.

The good thing about the SKS is that it shoots 7.62x39mm, which is a fairly common cartridge for a lot of cool guns. That's how I justify having a crate of ammo in my basement is that I have multiple guns to put it through.
