Stockpiliing ammo

This is my motto :) When I find it cheap and the clerk asks how much do you want, my usual response is all of it!

So it's you. I usually get there the day after you do and the clerk says "some ***hole was here yesterday and took all of it". Thanks for sharing, LOL.

If you bury it in the backyard, don't use Rubbermaid containers. They will fill with water, apparently. :)

thats what I like about the X39 I bought from WSS. each stripper clip is vaccumm packed in plastic then bricks of them are sealed in plastic as well.

WSS is Wholesale Sports, they had a deal on Czech surplus x39, 1200 rounds cases on stripper clips for $199. Got mine a couple of weeks ago. They are probably sold out by now.

As long as the price of ammo appreciates more than 4.5%/year (about what you would make had you taken that and invested it long term) then you'll be ahead by buying ammo.

If it doesn't, you would be better off investing your money elsewhere. I'm not convinced that buying ammo is a sound investment. Google "time value of money". Investopedia has a good article about it.

Of course if you're stockpiling for a SHTF scenario then that is different. I just buy crates cheap and keep a decent supply to shoot. I am trying to cycle through what I have within a year.

PG has another stack! Ill be picking up one more next payday. I figure 4 crates should last me a few years

We are pretty dry up here in the GTA.... just some Romanian crap. Hard to find Barnaul in 500 packs this past week.
"buy 'em cheap, stack 'em deep" :) Sadly, I can't stockpile anything, the SKS is such a bullet hose~!
