stocks and boarders?

Hey everyone, im in search for a stock for my 10 22 as most of us are haha. but i found one on ebay and the guy told me he will ship to me but he has to put the package as "gift" so it will go threw customs, im just curious as to why? its an archangel but after looking on this forum i dont want it anymore, and im looking to get that nordic kit so i can get what ever i want on it. does this go the same for barrels???

He was going to put gift on it to save you some duty. The same does not apply to barrels, they can't be shipped without the proper paperwork, which for the average joe is not worth the trouble. Dlask makes some nice Canadian barrels.
