Stocks? Reducing LOP...

Well purchase a 835 Mossy 26" barrel for duck and turkey, love the shotgun however the find the length of pull (LOP hope I'm using the right term) a little bit uncomfortable. I don't have very long arms only I'm only 5'6" tall and finding I have to reach a little.

Is there anyway stock recommendation out there to shorten the LOP, without compromising the recoil reduction. I know I could buy a slimmer recoil pad however I'll be putting 3" shells through a turkey choke more recoil reduction the better.

Best visit a gunsmith who can properly cut down the stock and refit the pad, taking your stature into account. It'll be money very well spent.

It can be hard to cut down synthetic stocks because they are hollow. My son bought a Mossberg 500 and we put an old wood stock on it that we cut down and painted black to match. When he grows we can put the synthetic back on.

You can shorten your synthetic stock by a fair bit. I had my 10 gauge with synthetic stiock shortened and a thinner but as good recoil pad fitted.
