Hello, new to the forum.
Sorry - have placed it in the wrong section.
I bought a brand sparkling new Stoeger 2000 a week ago.
It's not my first shotgun bit it IS my first semi-atomatic shotgun.
I have no problem with complete gun brake down and cleaning except one particular area of the gun located inside of the forearm.
The outside of the magazine tube/ bolt-rail-guide is coated/?lubricated? all around with something. It's more oily-greese than greasy-oil. I have never encountered that type of lubrication before in shotgun actions wich I am familiar with.
My question is this lubrication is just for storage/shipping untill gun is sold?
or is it "working" type of lubrication.
If it's storage/shiping lubrication - after cleaned off - what should be replaced with?
If it's working lubrication - how often should be cleaned and replaced - and with what kind/brand?
Thanks everybody.
