Stoeger 3500 for 3 Gun

Any words on what Score shotshells will run in a Stoeger M3500?

I have a Stoeger which seems to work with Federal 7.5 1 1/8 oz 3 dram @ 1200 fps. Not sure what the equivalent would be with Score shotshells (Gold? Bronze? Silver?). but would be interested in trying.
Sorry, no idea. But if I figure it out I'll post it up here.
The Interweb says the M3500 is reliable with 1 1/8 oz rounds, I'd like to fart with it until I can run (slightly shorter) 1 oz. 1050/1100 fps. ammo. The joys of following the letter of asinine gun laws.

I would counter your opinion by point out that running a pump is worse than a semi because with a pump you don't know it is dry until it goes 'click.' Then you have to load from the bottom, pump, fire (at least I think that is the operation, I'm not a pump guy). Whereas a semi you know it by feel and can quickly pop in a matchsaver, press release button, and then either take one shot to finish the shotgun portion or load more in the tube then shoot.
Hmmm, well if your allowing a Matchsaver, then you could spot me a sidesaddle for the pump? Either allows you to load one into the ejection port and then run the bolt forward to continue loading the tube. Personally, regardless of action, I find I need to count shells, and that is something that in the heat of the moment after the "beep" I am... improving on:). We had an excellent shooter on our squad that said something along the lines of "I can teach my 2 year old to count to ten, but I still can't count to eight." 3gun shotgun words to live by.

That's not really much of an argument...If you're running you're semi dry, you're not going to win anyways.
There are advantages and disadvantages to both, it's the guy pulling the trigger that makes the biggest difference.

So what are you guys with an M3500 using for a barrel for 3-gun?

Are you running the 28"? Having them cut down and rethreaded for chokes? Buying a shorter (24"?) barrel from stoeger?

I happened across a good deal on an M3500 today and have it on hold until tomorrow night, so if you see this question asked in another thread its because I just want the info before buying. Thanks

I wanted a 24", none available at the time(in black, there's camo if you wish though), settled on a 26", quite happy with the length, doesn't interfere with shooting through ports, balances very well for me.
