Stoeger .410 backpacker

Question for you experts. I have a Stoeger .410 backpacker 3", and I'm wondering if I can shoot .45 long colt out of it, I've herd yes and no from two different stores. Can someone help?

For a cheap gun like a Stoeger it probably isn't feasible. H&R makes a .45/.410 Survivor might be a better course.

.410 slugs are also available.

Mine shoots about 4 feet high at 15 yards, so I don't know why you would shoot ANYTHING out of it anyway

Somewhat to answer the question, though.... I remember as a kid shooting some light (handgun) 44 mag loads out of mine, and it didn't blow up my gun, and my #### didn't fall off.
