Stoeger a30 Canadian edition 495 fps upgrade

I purchased the Canadian edition a30 stoeger in .177 I have a pal and I want upgrade this for a little more fps. The box was the same as the regular a30 but with a little sticker saying it's derated to 495. Anyone have any experience with these? Is it just a new spring or piston?

Gonna have to hit the parts lists and compare the parts that were different between the variants.

Whether you can actually get the parts, that remains to be seen.

Starting to look a lot like lawn equipment, in that there seems to be about two or three makers, selling box lots to anyone that orders a bunch, with the same guts but different stickers.

Quick update. There is a bleed hole 3/32 diameter in the piston. I tig welded it up but it was a little loud for my taste. So I drilled another hole 1/16 diameter . Should make it roughly 700 fps. Just a little louder still sounds like a Pellet gun
 
If you search online you can find the nitro pistons, which, with little modification to the piston itself, fit nicely in, replacing the spring piston with a quieter and longer lasting power source. I've done 3 like that, and 3 years on not a glitch, save running out of pellets :)
