I should have paid more attention. It's nothing against CSC, mostly towards Stoeger. The Gen 2 guns now come with the Mlok forend but not the mod. 2. Makes no sense at all and has me pretty frustrated. It's my bad for not noticing in the pictures. For $200+ to buy an OEM forend a guy might as well just go aftermarket instead.

The only 1301's that currently come with the Mlok forend are the Mod 2 in black and Mod 2 in the Tiger Stripe. None of the Gen 2's or coloured Mod 2's have them.

^None of the ones in Canada. It's my bad for assuming it was just the mag extension I was going to be missing. At least it's a good excuse for replacing it with something fancy.
